ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

MENTORING & CAREER EXPLORATION

The Freedom School Mentoring Program supports students' academic growth, leadership development, and personal goals.  Students will gain the skills and confidence to lead with purpose and continue the legacy of educational excellence and social justice that defines Freedom Schools.

The Freedom School Career Exploration Program helps high school students discover their passions and connect them to meaningful career paths. Students will gain the skills, confidence, and vision to pursue futures rooted in purpose, leadership, and social impact—reflecting the Freedom School commitment to education that empowers and transforms communities.

TECHNOLOGY

The Freedom School Tech Program equips high school students with digital skills to innovate, problem-solve, and lead in a technology-driven world.  Students will learn to use technology as a tool for creativity, empowerment, and social change—honoring the Freedom School mission of education for liberation.

WELLNESS & THE ARTS

High school scholars will have the opportunity to explore their creativity through artistic expression.  Students will build community, reflect on their experiences, and amplify their voices around issues that matter to them. This experience continues the Freedom School tradition of fostering learning that inspires leadership, self-expression, and a commitment to justice.

Wellness centers the whole child by nurturing scholars’ social, emotional, and mental well-being. Through intentional activities

scholars develop skills to manage stress, build healthy relationships, and care for themselves and others. This focus on wellness creates a safe, supportive environment where scholars feel seen, valued, and empowered, strengthening their resilience and preparing them to thrive as confident leaders in their schools and communities.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

Civic engagement in the Covenant Community Freedom School

program empowers scholars to see themselves as agents of change in their communities. Through service-learning, social action, and critical conversations, scholars explore issues that matter to them—including youth mental health and social-emotional wellness. By creating space for reflection, healing, and self-expression, the program strengthens scholars’ emotional well-being while building the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to advocate for justice. By connecting literacy with action, Freedom Schools nurture a lifelong commitment to leadership, community responsibility, and positive change.
